My Mazda Eunos has power-steering. With the engine switched off, the steering is very heavy.
My car actually came with three steering wheels!

| I've been using the smallest, a 300mm diameter Momo wheel up till now but it doesn't give a clear view of the instruments, so I've now swapped it for this 350mm diameter wooden rim Momo wheel, to get a feel for how well this works. As you can see, it gives a much clearer view of the instruments but it also has a better weight and feel to the steering. I'm not a fan of this retro wood finish but I will look to buy a new black Momo wheel in this size now. Photo from April 2018. |
| This Momo 300mm diameter steering wheel was my preferred choice initially. I expected it too feel a bit too heavy but it is well weighted and has the other benefit of making it much easier to get in and out of the car. The wheel itself weighs 1.38kg. It does partial hide some of the instruments but I can live with that for now. |
I'm not sure if there is a quick rack for the MX-5 and Eunos but the rack ratio on my car feels pretty quick and right for this kind of car.
