Drove up to Cambridge to have a look at a 1993 Eunos that was being scrapped. Came away with the front and rear sub-frames and suspension parts :-) The plan was to remove, strip and refurbish these parts on my own car but, this means I can start the work and keep driving my own car. Being a few years later, the parts are also in slightly better condition. These parts are off a 1993 1.8 Eunos and my car is a 1990 1.6, so I'm going to need to check what differences there might be.
The plan is to replace all bushes, alignment bolts and the springs/dampers. So it makes sense to get everything stripped and cleaned up before it goes back on the car. I also need to replace the fuel tank.
Front part stripped. The upper front wishbones have pressed in ball joints, so it might just be easier (but a lot more expensive) to buy new ones.
Rear still to be stripped.
The front sub-frame stripped and ready for shot-blasting and powder coating.
The rear sub-frame stripped and ready for shot-blasting and powder coating.
