It is now possible to put the new soft-top up without two people and without using straps to hold it down! It was left up over winter and appears to have stretched nicely :-)
We are all booked in to take Yoko over to the Le Mans 24 race weekend in June :-) A lot of preparation work to be done between now and then though.
Yoko arrived with a Sony stereo CD/radio and speakers fitted but this was all removed for the respray. With the trip to Le Mans booked, it seemed like a good time to fit an audio system back in. The original Alpine speakers are in pretty good condition and sound good too. Who uses CDs in cars these days though?!
Fitting the speaker back in the doors is an easy job and they are held in place with 3 self-tapping screws. The cables were tucked up out of the way whilst she was resprayed. Whilst testing the speakers I discovered they left and right channels had been swapped by mistake.
My Dad has bought a new Sony DSX-A416BT head unit with handsfree phone capability and USB and AUX inputs and Bluetooth capability. This should work really well with both Android phones and iPhones :-)
