I am using Mobil Advanced Concentrated Antifreeze, which is supplied in 1 litre bottles ready to be diluted with water. This is suitable for all Mk1 & Mk2/2.5 models. The empty cooling system will require approximately 2.5 litres of this concentrate with the same quantity again of distilled/deionised water to give the correct 50:50 mix.
My Eunos has a large radiator the spans the front of the car. It looks to be in very good condition.
The current front grille is being replaced to ensure better air flow to the radiator.
My Eunos has two radiator fans. The one of the passenger side is used to cool the engine. Initially I suspected the fan on the driver's side had failed as it never seemed to operate but, it does work. It is only used when the engine is really hot and also when the air conditioning is in use (with fan on). This second fan appears to be a newer replacement fan, with the main one being the original.
The main fan is driven by a switch/sensor mounted on the thermostat housing. Testing this sensor to measure it's resistance will typically just show that it is open circuit.
We have replaced most of the colling system hoses already with silicon hoses and Jubilee clips. The remaining ones are being replaced very soon too.
