Valve tool The tool arrived to tighten up the valve inserts.
Valve inserts The tool also came with some new inserts but I don't need these yet.
Pump I also bought an electric pump as these have a screw on fitting. There is not enough room about the metal valve stems for a normal foot pump with a press down lever.

Having checked the valve inserts, they were very loose on the two tyres that gone completely flat and slightly loose on the other two. Tightened them all up and put the new wheel/tyres back on the car. Set them all at 26psi and we will see how well they hold pressure now.

Quick test drive with my Dad to Woodbridge. It's cold with the roof off, even with the heater on full blast. It's just 6°C today.

15th

The type pressure problems have been solved! :-) All four tyres have held pressure over the last ten days.

21st

As a surprise 18th birthday present my parents have insured me to drive my Eunos on the road for a week :-) My Dad is insured to drive it and it only costs him about £100 a year (classic policy, fully comprehensive). He tried to get me added to his insurance but they wanted another £4,322 to cover me for the remaining 7 months left to run on his policy! 7 day's cover was more reasonable at about £70.

Driving my own car! Until I am more familiar with my Eunos, my Dad came with me in it. This is the first time I've driven a rear-wheel drive car. There is no black box on this one :-) My main car is the Mazda 2 in the background, which is much cheaper to insure.

25th

Lucky to have nice, sunny weather this weekend, though it was only 4ºC, so the hard-top stayed on the Eunos. The heater is powerful but your head and upper body just get too cold, too quickly in low temperatures.

Orford Quay Drove with my Dad along one of his favourite driving routes, up to Orford Quay. There was still some ice about. Also got these Puma Drift Cat driving shoes for my birthday.
Orford Quay Looking good in the sunshine :-)

26th

Another nice, sunny day and the temperature was a little warmer at 7ºC, so the hard-top comes off :-)

Off to Aldeburgh Drove up to Aldeburgh with my Dad on a bit of a road trip. We are trying to get some miles in and gain more confidence in the car as we are planning to take it across to Monaco next year.
Mixed driving Got some experience of driving on a range of different roads, from dual-carriageway, some great twisty B-roads and some narrow county lanes. The car sounds so much better with the roof off. You can properly hear the MX5 Parts stainless-steel sports exhaust :-)
Aldeburgh Beach Drove all the way to Thorpeness and past the famous 'shell' on the beach.
Aldeburgh Fort Then drove through Aldeburgh, along to the fort.

Although it was just a few days, it was a lot of fun to finally drive my Eunos and to also drive it on the road :-) The plan is to drive it on track next and see if I can get cheaper road insurance once I've been driving for a bit longer.
